FAQ
Hey, I have a great idea of a painting you can do!
Sorry, for legal and personal reasons I only do my own ideas. No one else's. This brain stands alone. Unless you want me to do a commissioned painting just for you. That’s different. People are always coming up to me with ideas for paintings. Some of them are pretty good ideas; some are pretty bad too. You gotta understand these paintings are personal to me and they relate to me in some way.
Oh in that case, can you do a commissioned painting?

Sure, if the price is right. But I won’t use the image in my merchandise. It is your painting, remember. I also do logos, album covers and movie posters. Any work can be emailed to me at tony @ agooart.com. Of course it is illegal for you to take my art without my permission and use it for your ad or your band’s CD cover or anything like that! However, tattoos are totally fine.
Hey, where can I get magnets made of my own artwork?
Technically, I make them myself. I buy sheets of magnets wholesale. Then I photograph my artwork and print them on 4”x6” photos. The magnets have this strong adhesive on one side that I put my photos on. Cut them to size on the cutting board and... Boom! I got my art on magnets. Here is the info on where I buy my magnets. Good luck!

What’s the deal with Baloney?
Hey, everybody in the underground art world has got a nickname like Shag, Coop, Niagara, Extremo the Clown... But you can still call me Tony if you like. By the way, “Baloney” is defined as “nonsense”. Not Bologna the yucky meat.
What is Stuckism?
From an art world full of soup cans, elephant dung, piss in a jar, artists rolling around in chocolate sauce and a painting of a red dot... rises from the conceptual and minimalist mess called Stuckism. A remodernist international art group that just wants to bring you decent artwork. Though I don’t agree with 100% of all Stuckist beliefs, I do believe that all the Stuckists are great artists.
Where do you get your ideas?
Lots of places. Most of them just come to me when I’m walking, sleeping, sitting down, taking a shower, driving... I’ll be driving down on the FDR in the middle of rush hour; and all of a sudden, I’ll think of a painting and I’ll pull over, nearly crashing into cars and do up a very quick sketch and the title. Some I let stew in my brain before I’m ready to paint. Some I don’t even do. I have a few sketch books filled with ideas that may or may not turn into paintings. But for the most part, they just come to me naturally.
Do you parody other artists because you don’t like them?
Far from it. In fact most of the artists I parody, I like. I used to hate Norman Rockwell. My professors at Paier College of Art worshiped him. I swear there must be a shrine somewhere in Paier that my professors dance naked around under the moon. But when I did some research on Rockwell (which I do with all my parodies now), I started to like him. He’s actually a pretty funny guy.
Are you on drugs or just insane?
Ha, ha, ha! I actually do get this question a lot. Especially when I do art festivals open to the public! I am drug free, I don’t smoke, and I rarely drink alcohol or coffee. My addiction is hot tea! Earl Grey, green tea, Lipton tea. Double bag it! Even ice tea! I drink tea by the gallon!
