We have just returned from 4 days in Damascus and so I couldn't write to you sooner.
Thanks again for all your excellent organisation and i would definitely recommend your company to any of my friends.
Our hotels were good and our driver was an excellent man who really tried his best for us. I'd like to mention something about our guides. The best guide ,by far, was the man in Jaipur. He really wanted to show us everything that was avavilable.
In Agra we were not happy with that man. He certainly did not give us enough information about the TAj and he told us that 70% of the REd Fort was closed and recommended that we miss that out. The guide in Jaipur told us that was not true so we were very disappointed. Also the Agra guide only wanted us to shop at his contacts. All the guides are very intent on bringing us to the shops of their friends whereas we wanted to go to open air,local markets to experience the real lbartering etc. of life in India. Certainly we cannot recommend the guide in Agra.
He did not help keep the vendors from us and he did not explain the religious implications at the temples. He took it for granted that we wanted to do what he wanted to do.
In Delhi, we enjoyed the company of Jimmy, the guide but for a whole day we only saw the Government buildings, the site of GAhndi and the India Gate. We spent far too long sitting around at the airport...we could have seen more of the sights of Delhi.
Please don't think we were not happy. We loved our holiday but our comments could help with whom you appoint to guide.

We are writing to thank you for organising our Golden triangle tour we hada very enjoyable and memorable holiday.Organising the tour before departure was straightforward and we were very pleased that we were able to customise our itinerary to ensure that we were able to visit all of the monuments we wished to. The all inclusive price was very reasonable particularly in the light of the service that we received. Our driver Ajeed was a very good driver. Negotiating the busy streets of Delhi as well as the tiny back streets in Jaipur. He was calm and confident. He was always friendly, polite and punctual and willing to answer our questions along the way.
According to the current scenario or Market I expect 25% more of my current Salary.
But now every thing depends upon you.
Our guide in Agra was fine. He was very enthusiastic about the Taj Mahal particularly. I would definitely recommend tourists visit the Taj at sunrise and I wish we had got up early to enjoy it before the crowds arrived. The guide that Ajeed organised for us at Fetehpur Sikri was excellent he spent a long time explaining all of the relics and monuments and was very knowledgeable. My husband was very sick at the time and he was kind and patient. Our guide in Jaipur was fantastic he was so enthusiastic and pointed out many sights and discussed many things on the journey. His knowledge of the sights was good but he also took time to show us and talk to us about present day culture. He spent two full days with us as did our guide in Delhi going above and beyond what was expected of them. The itinary was very busy and the guides really needed two full days to show us these things. One day in Jaipur was particularly long as we were keen to see sunset at Tiger fort. This was a great experience and we recommend others enjoy the beautiful views.
Similarly Tomar our guide in Delhi was great he was very knowledge about the sights but also took a lot of time to explain religions, cultural and politics and general history in India. We were very gratefully not have been taken to shops and emporiums. The Aksharpith Temple and the Gurdwara were highlights for Delhi. The National Museum and the Ghandi museum were also very interesting. We hope that all guides and the driver receive a fair salary from the tour company. Regarding the hotels, which I know we booked independently but for your reference, The Oberoi was amazing, the service and the location of the Trident Hilton was great although the furniture a little old. We were however disappointed with the Lalit being given an old room initially, woken at four in the morning by the refurbishments and receiving a lower standard of service in comparison to the other hotels.
We know that we were quite demanding tourists and the tour company and guides met all of our needs and expectations. We will definitely use the company again on subsequent visits and will make recommendations to friends and relatives.
